Fanatic is one of my very favorite episodes. I adore crazy Samantha Drake. She's right up there with Tina Greer.



Who does Samantha worship on the day of worship?



That's right. As Samantha tells Lex...





...She used to wear a cross. Lex is a little shocked, and a lot pleased.

I've always been a bit of a Lex Luthor fangirl, though I never made excuses for his evilness and inability to take responsibility for his choices. I still adored him with his bald woobie-ness. So it was very fun to see Samantha Drake insanely fangirling over Lex. TO THE EXTREME...







Also, this was a great episode for Lois.




Lois has a few criticisms for Jonathan's campaign manager.



Clark and Martha look pretty in green.



Jonathan is not pleased.



Clark and Martha continue to look pretty in the color of money.



Lois is pleased as punch when the campaign manager is fired.



Oh no!



Wait a minute!



Jonathan believes in Lois.



It's nice to be believed in.



Can't resist Clark and Martha in green.

I enjoyed Lois going toe to toe with Samantha Drake. Not too jazzed about Lionel Luthor helping Jonathan win at Martha's request. Also, I sometimes think it would have been a more interesting choice to have Lex win the election. But all in all it was fun.
