I have so many shows that I want to watch this fall, but I'm going to be realistic.
DAILY - I'd like to watch the final season of Oprah. I never regularly watched Oprah, but when I did watch I enjoyed it for the most part. So far I've watched all but 2 of the new season episodes. I've cried several times so far. I'm such a sap. I'd also like to watch The Daily Show and the Colbert Report. It's a way to sort of be up on politics but laugh at the same time. *sigh*
MONDAY - I decided to try a new show on Mondays: Mike and Molly. I really adore Melissa McCarthy from Gilmore Girls. She stole the show whenever she showed up. I also love Swoosie Kurtz. Mike and Molly have great chemistry and I was rooting for them pretty quickly. Mike is sort of like the lead character on King of Queens but not as charismatic so... there was a been there done that sort of feeling to the show. THEN the fat jokes. I'm not an overweight person at all but they really started to grate on me. I don't know if Melissa's supernatural cuteness can carry me through. I smiled a lot but didn't laugh much.
I watched How I Met Your Mother. I've seen Season One of this show on DVD. Watching the new episode reminded me of how much I love Alyson Hannigan and how fun this show is. I think the woman who plays Robin would make a fantastic Wonder Woman. I might rent Season 2 on Netflix.
I also watched Hawaii Five-O. My mother and aunt were huge fans of this show when it originally aired and also a show called Hawaii I. It was fun. There were LOTS of explosions which made my inner 12 year old boy very happy. Grace Park showed up in a bikini and punched someone. She was fantastic on Battlestar Galactica so we'll see. The two main guys were trying really hard to get the banter going. It's rough but worth tuning in for Grace, Hawaii, explosions, investigations, fights and guns.
I didn't watch Dancing with the Stars today, but I may be watching it at some point to spend quality time with my grandmother. She loves it!
TUESDAY - Not to excited about the new season of Glee but I know I'll be happy about it while I'm watching it. That's always the way I feel about Glee. LOL! I'm still hanging in there with Sons of Anarchy. The violence is seriously traumatizing me. This guy was buried up to his neck and almost got his head run over by a motorcycle. A priest presided over a murder in church. *sigh* My friend tells me that it seriously misrepresents bikers. She says bikers are very diverse - doctors, lawyers, teachers... not just criminals. Jackson's girlfriend continues to work my nerves. But Gemma is so wonderful. If the story doesn't hook me I'll just keep on watching 'til I get tired of Katey. Maybe I'll backtrack and watch Season One so I'll have some clue about what's going on. LOL!
WEDNESDAY - I'm excited to watch Undercovers! The commercials seem funny and I think I'm on the verge of becoming a J.J. Abrams fangirl. I didn't watch Lost so... not much J.J. Abrams trauma for me. I also want to watch Modern Family. We'll see how it goes. I watched the Pilot episode of Hellcats. The lead actress is beautiful, funny and charming. But that wasn't enough for me. I just... it was too much like Glee to me. Especially since Ashley Tisdale is basically playing Rachel Berry as a cheerleader. It wasn't BAD... I'm just... no.
THURSDAY - I'm so excited about Thursdays. Bones, Fringe Season 3,The Mentalist are all shows I'm all caught up on. Bones ended so exquisitely with Booth and Brennen leaving the murder mysteries for a year and going their separate ways. So I'm excited to find meet them one year later. <3 I can't wait to see their reunion and how they get back into the hunt. Fringe... I'm all gushed out! I can't wait. The Mentalist... meh. Simon Baker has GREAT hair. Robin Tunney has those amazing eyes with her dark, dark hair. The entire ensemble has great chemistry. I'm not going to get my hopes up about Red John after last season. LOL! I also want to watch Bleep My Dad Says and Nikita. I watched the Nikita pilot and it was alright. There was a nice twist at the end. I don't know if I'll last long with this show. I'll try and catch The Big Bang Theory when I remember. It's a very funny show with a great cast.
FRIDAY - SMALLVILLE! Smallville has owned my behind for the last 6 years! It's will be 7 once this year is up. I'm going to be sad to see things end but also RELIEVED! I'm so excited about the last season. *dances*
Supernatural. Hopefully
chatchien will continue to do recaps of this show. <3 That's my fave part of watching. I don't know what to expect. I just want some Winchester love. Not the slash kind - just... the surprising - I'll always come through for you in the end - kind. I cried when Dean let Sam beat him to a pulp in the finale. He was so mean to Sam and so... discouraging. Oh! Yeah Winchester Brothers! That's what I'm watching for. Season One Disc One is sitting across the room from me. I might watch that soon.
This is going to be tricky because I don't have DVR. It's all DVD and VHS. So... I'll have to explore any other shows that I want to watch on Hulu. Yeah there are a few shows I want to watch online and on DVD. I want to catch up on Doctor Who and Spartacus. I want to watch Mad Men. I'm curious about Human Target and The Good Guys. Yay TV! That's plenty.
